Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The State visit of the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Luiz Ina\u0301cio Lula da Silva, to Angola continues to echo in the Angolan and international press.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Brazilian statesman made a three-day working visit, as part of the reinforcement of cooperation and existing friendship ties between the two countries.<\/p>\n

In Angola, the main media outlets continue to occupy their news spaces with echoes of the different interventions by the Brazilian Head of State during his visit.<\/p>\n

The same occurs in Portugal, the United States of America, France, Germany and Brazil, with organizations such as RTP, VOA, LUSA, RFI, DW, Folha UOL and G1 placing at the top of their agendas the incidences of that moment of cooperation between Angola and Brazil.<\/p>\n

RTP, for example, publishes an article on its website with the title “President of Brazil visits Angola with 170 businessmen”.<\/p>\n

The news also refers to the Economic Forum that ended on Friday, with the presence of 500 businessmen, of which 170 came from Brazil.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, VOA, from the United States of America, entitled, on its page, “Largest Brazilian presidential delegation ever is in Luanda” and underlines the development project of the Cunene Valley, among others analyzed during the visit.<\/p>\n

The Portuguese LUSA highlights “Lula da Silva assigns a score of 10 to the State visit to Angola” and quotes the Brazilian President: “I think this was the best visit I made to Angola (…) I also want to thank the affection that the President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o had with my delegation”.<\/p>\n

On the online page of DW (Germany) it can be read that the presence of the Brazilian Head of State in Angola was focused on economic cooperation and makes reference to the initialed agreements in the sectors of agriculture, tourism and transport.<\/p>\n

The publication adds that the visit symbolizes “Brazil’s return to Africa” \u200b\u200band adds the words of President Lula da Silva that “relations between Angola and Brazil are a State policy”.<\/p>\n

In Brazil, Folha UOL headlines “Lula signs agreements in Angola and criticizes Bolsonaro’s indifference to Africa”.<\/p>\n

Age\u0302ncia Brasil prints “Lula announces which country will invest in Africa again” and highlights the fact that Angola is a good payer.<\/p>\n

Brazil’s G1 online page points out that Lula’s trip to Angola represents a closer relationship between Brazil and the African continent.<\/p>\n

He recalls that, in the Angolan Parliament, the President of Brazil honored “Ma\u0303e Bernadete”, one of the most important quilombola leaders murdered last week, for defending the fight for gender equality and for the distribution of wealth and food.<\/p>\n

During the visit Angola and Brazil reinforce cooperation with seven new bilateral cooperation agreements.<\/p>\n

The two States formalized their cooperation in 1977, two years after the proclamation of Angola’s independence on November 11, 1975.<\/p>\n
