Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>A housing complex called \u201cRose de Porcelana\u201d, with 200 T-3 residences, was inaugurated this Thursday, in Ndalatando, by the Minister of the Interior, Euge\u0301nio Laborinho.<\/b><\/p>\n

The construction of the housing project, located in the Kiombo area, on the outskirts of the city of Ndalatando, was financed with funds from the Social Protection Fund of the Ministry of the Interior.<\/p>\n

The project’s construction works took place in two phases and cost around five billion Kwanzas. The first began in December 2017 and concluded in October 2019, with the construction of 26 homes, and the last began in October 2019 and ended in December 2022, with the construction of 174 homes.<\/p>\n

According to the director of the Social Protection Fund of the Ministry of the Interior, Sandra Paiva, the houses will benefit interested employees in the sector in the form of resolving rent.<\/p>\n

He explained that the criterion is open to all MININT staff, as long as they are able to pay and do not have bank credit.<\/p>\n

Income payment is based on monthly deductions of 30 percent of the beneficiary’s salary, for 20 or 30 years.<\/p>\n

The provincial delegate of Cuanza Norte of MININT, Arse\u0301nio da Conceic\u0327a\u0303o Neto, said that the project represents the culmination of the department’s policies in improving the social and housing conditions of the staff.<\/p>\n

He recognized that the available residences will not overcome the problem of lack of housing among employees.<\/p>\n

He highlighted that the initiative is of great importance, as it will minimize housing demand and motivate staff engagement in carrying out their duties.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, the Minister of the Interior, Euge\u0301nio Laborinho, said that the completion of the project meets the aspirations of employees, especially retirees, who aspire to own their own home.<\/p>\n

Cuanza Norte, he informed, currently has more than two thousand applications for a negligible number of houses built, which is why those with the greatest housing needs will be prioritized.<\/p>\n

He said that the sector will continue to work towards the construction of more complexes of this type in order to benefit the largest possible number of employees with housing problems, as financial availability becomes available.<\/p>\n
