Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Five thousand new household connections underway in Caxito, municipality of Dande, province of Bengo, come into operation in September this year, as part of the project to expand the water distribution network.<\/b><\/p>\n

Of this number, four thousand are destined for the adjacent neighborhoods of the city of Caxito and one thousand for the centrality of Bucula.<\/p>\n

The project will also cover the new Bucula general hospital, which will be supplied by the new Water Treatment Station (ETA), informed the President of the Board of Directors of the Public Water and Sanitation Company (EPAS) of Bengo, Carlos Joa\u0303o.<\/p>\n

Regarding customer debts, he explained that they are divided into two parts – the first has to do with the assets that the company manages, valued at around 250 million kwanzas, while the second is linked to the former management of EPAL and round above of one billion kwanzas.<\/p>\n

In this regard, the person responsible asked debtor customers to pay off their debts, so that the company has better sustainability and service provision.<\/p>\n

As for the structuring projects underway in the region, he pointed out the pipeline that will supply the sugar industry area (urban center of Bengo) in the near future, and another that will circumscribe the Caboxa area and the Instituto Superior Polite\u0301cnico.<\/p>\n

He clarified that the Capari ETA project is a new asset of EPAS Bengo that supplies Capari and the town of Panguila, for a total of approximately 8 thousand new customers.<\/p>\n

These two areas (Capari and Panguila) were previously under the management of EPAL, only recently becoming part of EPAS Bengo. The recovery process is in the final phase, with only the signatures of the legal procedures remaining, said the person responsible.<\/p>\n

The city of Caxito currently has seven thousand connections. With the new four thousand, there will be 11,500 home connections.<\/p>\n
