Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Angolan and Cape Verdean authorities should renew the bilateral transport cooperation agreement regarding direct air connectivity between the two countries, for a close and sustainable partnership.<\/b><\/p>\n

The information was released this Friday by the ambassador of Cape Verde to Angola, Ju\u0301lio de Morais, at the end of a meeting with the president of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira, stressing that the renewal of this agreement will be complemented with that of energy and maritime transport. .<\/p>\n

According to the diplomat, “without direct connectivity between countries there can be no close and sustainable partnerships”.<\/p>\n

He also informed that the negotiation of a statute for the future Chamber of Commerce Angola – Cape Verde is underway.<\/p>\n

The diplomat highlighted the ongoing economic agenda between the two countries, with Angolan investments in Cape Verde in the areas of telecommunications, banking and fuel logistics.<\/p>\n

He made it known that the two States are also deepening the partnership in the area of \u200b\u200bagriculture, taking into account some facilities that the Angolan Government has granted Cape Verde in this field.<\/p>\n

He also referred to investment in the tourism sector by Angolan promoters in Cape Verde, as well as in the area of \u200b\u200bculture.<\/p>\n

parliamentary cooperation<\/p>\n

The Cape Verdean diplomat conveyed greetings from the Speaker of the Parliament of Cape Verde to his counterpart Carolina Cerqueira, who in March this year made a working visit to that country, where he continued the parliamentary dialogue and friendship between the two peoples.<\/p>\n

He recalled that parliamentary relations between the two countries, which have been going on for a long time, were reinforced during this visit with the signing of a new agreement adapted to the new circumstances and opportunities.<\/p>\n

“We want to continue this dialogue for the good of this fraternal relationship that exists between the two countries, based on a high-level and permanent political dialogue”, he stressed.<\/p>\n

Angola and Cape Verde have strong cooperation ties. Among the various protocols signed by the two States, emphasis is placed on visa waiver agreements, technical cooperation agreements in different areas, such as education, defence, oil, diplomacy, agriculture, transport, finance and administration.<\/p>\n

The formalization of political-diplomatic relations between the two countries took place on August 30, 1977.<\/p>\n
