Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The participation of 64 people, including students and individuals, in the free mini courses on \u201cComputer Repair\u201d, \u201cVideo Creation and Editing\u201d and \u201cIntroduction to Space Management\u201d was one of the main topics that dominated the first day of the Fair of ITEL Technological Innovation (FITITEL\/2023), opened yesterday, in Luanda.<\/b><\/p>\n

Lasting three days, the training also includes courses on \u201cCreation of C Sharp applications\u201d, \u201cGraphic design\u201d, \u201cAdobe photoshop\u201d, \u201cCCTV with fiber optics\u201d, \u201cOptical network projects\u201d, \u201cComputer repair \u201d, \u201cOptical fiber fusion\u201d, \u201cMicrowave links\u201d, among other specialties.<\/p>\n

According to the professor at the Luanda Telecommunications Institute (ITEL), Bra\u0301ulio Vicente, the respective training courses last three hours, with intensive theoretical and practical classes.<\/p>\n

The teacher said that the first day was marked by satisfactory interaction between trainees and trainers, with emphasis on some students who demonstrated skills in the courses taught.<\/p>\n

Alongside the training sessions, the opening of FITITEL\/2023 was also marked by the influx of hundreds of visitors, with emphasis on first-year students at ITEL, who demonstrated curiosity in gathering experiences and getting to know in detail the more than 40 projects exhibited at the fair and developed by finalists and former students of this institute.<\/p>\n

Among the innovations on display at the fair, the highlight was the motorcycle taxi driver control system, a technological tool that allows the motorcycle to operate only when wearing a helmet, in addition to helping to locate the motorcycle.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the exposure of the system to monitor cardiorespiratory and hypertensive patients was also \u201ccapitalized\u201d.<\/p>\n

The day also reserved space for a round table on “Technological innovation and national security – Challenges and opportunities”, where participants reflected on the use of technology in the traffic and mobility sector, as a way of reducing road accidents in the country.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the stallholders also participated in a lecture on “Immersive technologies and metaverse”, technological tools that help people in various sectors such as education and health.<\/p>\n

Cutting the ribbon for the event was the responsibility of the Secretary of State for Secondary Education, Gildo Matias, who also gave the opening speech, considering FITITEL as an opportunity for employment and business creation.<\/p>\n

Under the motto “Technological innovation at the service of road safety”, the fair aims, essentially, to showcase the skills and competencies that students acquired during the four years of training, presenting solutions that solve business and social problems.<\/p>\n

Promoted by the Telecommunications Institute of Luanda, with support from the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Social Communication (MINTTICS), the event takes place from the 7th to the 9th of this month, at the ITEL facilities, with more than four thousand visitors expected, who will be able to have the opportunity to attend 10 lectures, to be given by 20 national specialists.<\/p>\n
