According to the report, over the past 40 years, nearly 800 million people in China have risen above the threshold of living on less than US$1.90 per day, accounting for almost three-quarters of the total global poverty reduction since 1980.<\/p>\n

If measured against China\u2019s current poverty standards, approximately 770 million people have been lifted out of poverty in China. Without a doubt, the speed and scale of China\u2019s poverty reduction efforts stand as an unprecedented milestone in history.<\/p>\n
