Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>TAAG-Linhas Ae\u0301reas de Angola inaugurated, this Friday, in Luanda, its new headquarters, a modern and technologically optimized infrastructure using corporate digitalization processes.<\/b><\/p>\n

Located in the \u201cOne Metro\u0301polis\u201d building, in the Talatona district, the new headquarters has the capacity to house 300 workers at the same time and includes, among other compartments, an operational management room for monitoring aircraft and ticketing.<\/p>\n

The opening ceremony of the Angolan company’s headquarters coincided with the celebration of TAAG’s 85th anniversary, and on the occasion, the Minister of Transport, Ricardo D’ Abreu, congratulated the workers and the board of directors.<\/p>\n

“We congratulate all TAAG employees on this special date, in the certainty that everyone will continue to be engaged in this noble mission of making the company grow and transcend the skies with the colors and symbols of Angola”, he emphasized.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the president of the Board of Directors (PCA) of TAAG, Ana Major, considered that the new headquarters provides better working conditions, in addition to offering more dignity to the company’s workers, partners and customers.<\/p>\n

He mentioned that the technological conditions and information and technology infrastructure were optimized, to provide greater connectivity, quality and support the digitalization process underway in the company.<\/p>\n

Regarding the exchange of facilities, Ana Major said that the previous building, in addition to its severe degradation, no longer responded to the challenges of TAAG’s modernization process.<\/p>\n

However, the manager reaffirmed that the first Airbus A220-300 model aircraft, acquired under leasing, will begin arriving in the country from April 2024, contrary to what was expected for the last quarter of this year.<\/p>\n

In turn, the president of the Executive Council (PCE), Eduardo Fairen, said that the arrival of new aircraft is part of the modernization and restructuring process of TAAG, within the scope of the operational challenges of the new Luanda international airport, designed as a regional and international hub.<\/p>\n

In this regard, the manager added that TAAG staff have benefited from training to respond to the challenges of restructuring and the dynamism that Dr. Anto\u0301nio Agostinho Neto International Airport should bring.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, as part of the expansion and expansion of the fleet, Eduardo Fairen announced that the company will open new routes in the near future, to respond to demand and exploit the acquired aircraft.<\/p>\n

TAAG \u2013 Angola Airlines, which results from TDA (Division of Exploration of Air Transport of Angola, was created in 1938 and currently has 14 domestic destinations and 13 international routes, with a fleet of 21 aircraft.<\/p>\n
