Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The secretary of the PRS in the province of Huambo, Anto\u0301nio Soliya Selende, recommended, this Thursday, greater dynamism and seriousness in the implementation of the communities’ socioeconomic development programs.<\/b><\/p>\n

At a press conference, the supporter pointed to the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM), for Support to Production, Diversification of Exports and Substitution of Imports (PRODESI) and Kwenda, as programs that require serious and responsible implementation. , to achieve the objectives for which they were created.<\/p>\n

Therefore, Anto\u0301nio Soliya Selende appealed to the spirit of patriotism, love for others and seriousness in fulfilling missions, on the part of public office holders, with a focus on the socioeconomic development of communities.<\/p>\n

He highlighted the need for greater investment in the education sector, based on the construction of schools and the recruitment of new teachers, with a view to housing more students in a decent situation and, therefore, eradicating the phenomenon of children outside the system of teaching\/learning.<\/p>\n

Likewise, he pointed to greater investment in health, with the aim of reflecting on the construction of more hospital units with higher quality medical\/medicine care, in addition to the humanization of services.<\/p>\n

Another important factor, according to the supporter, is related to the fight against poverty, through encouraging domestic production, appreciation of the national currency and the reduction in the cost of products in the basic basket.<\/p>\n

In the last general elections, held on August 24, 2022, won by the MPLA, the Social Renewal Party (PRS) obtained, at the level of the constituency of the province of Huambo, four thousand 704 votes, equivalent to 0.86 percent, of a total of 561,326 voters who went to the polls to exercise their right to citizenship.<\/p>\n

The MPLA was the party with the most votes in this region of the Central Plateau of the country, with 308,731 votes, electing three deputies, out of the five possible, followed by UNITA, with two parliamentarians, as a result of 212,465 votes.<\/p>\n
