Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola’s crude oil production reached 264.46 million barrels of crude oil, in eight months of this year, with lowest records observed in February in the order of 29.78 million.<\/b><\/p>\n

Data compiled based on public monthly summaries by the National Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Agency-ANPG, in the period under analysis (January to August\/2023), the highest volume of \u201cblack gold\u201d production was recorded in July , standing at 35.63 million barrels.<\/p>\n

In August of the same year, Angola’s production reached 34.99 million barrels at an average price of USD 93.56 per barrel.<\/p>\n

Comparing with data observed in the same period, January to August\/2022, there is a reduction in production of 19.46 million barrels, given that at the time a volume of 283.92 million barrels of crude oil was reached.<\/p>\n

During that period, production fluctuated between 35 and 36 million barrels\/month, with only the lowest record being in February, which was 32.32 million barrels.<\/p>\n

The highest production was 36.86 million barrels reported in January 2022.<\/p>\n

Angola is a member of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), with a production quota of 1,455,000 barrels\/day, a limit that has not yet been reached, remaining at around 1.1 million barrels.<\/p>\n

Angola’s oil production comes from 16 oil concessions, 13 of which are in the offshore maritime zone and three in the onshore land zone.<\/p>\n
