Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Preparation of athletes and coaches, Institutional cooperation, Technologies, Fight against doping and Inclusionary sports are among the cooperation agreements signed this Monday between Angola and Serbia.<\/b><\/p>\n

Having as signatories the Minister of Youth and Sports, Palmira Barbosa and her counterpart, Husseyn Memitchi, in Belgrade, capital of Serbia, the partnership also includes sports sponsorship, sports medicine and specialist training.<\/p>\n

Promotion of Paralympic sport, Special Olympics, Protection of young athletes, Promotion of gender, Maintenance of infrastructure, Sports programs in basic schools and universities, also appear in the agreements between the two states.<\/p>\n

Minister Palmira Barbosa, who is on a working visit to that Eastern European country, is accompanied by the National Director for Sports, Nicolau Daniel and the presidents of the Angolan Football Federation, Artur de Almeida e Silva and of handball, Jose\u0301 de Amaral \u201cLittle brother.\u201d<\/p>\n

Remember, as part of her agenda, Palmira Barbosa highlighted on Sunday the qualities of the founder of the Angolan Nation, Anto\u0301nio Agostinho Neto, in activities alluding to September 17th, National Hero’s Day.<\/p>\n

At an event, organized by the Angolan embassy in Serbia, the minister spoke about the human and patriotic dimension of Neto, who led Angola to independence, proclaimed on November 11, 1975.<\/p>\n

The commemorative events began with the laying of flowers on the bust of the first President of Angola, in an event that brought together more than 150 individuals, including politicians, students and friends of Angola.<\/p>\n
