Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit, where the Angolan Head of State, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, intervened, as acting president of SADC, marked the world news this Tuesday .<\/b><\/p>\n

“President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o speaks at the UN about the 2050 vision and the Indicative Strategic Plan – SADC has made notable progress in implementing regional cooperation and integration priorities”.<\/p>\n

When speaking at the opening session of the SDG Summit, at the United Nations headquarters, as president of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o considered it “crucial” to jointly examine the progress made in implementing the Development Goals Sustainable at the level of the different regions represented at the global event.<\/p>\n

Still in the country, NovoJornal and OPai\u0301s also emphasized Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o’s speech, which defended stability for the development of the Southern Africa region.<\/p>\n

The Portuguese press, including the Lusa agency, highlights the intervention of the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), Anto\u0301nio Guterres, who admits the “risk” of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) being “left to behind”, calling for a “global rescue plan”.<\/p>\n

At the start of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, Anto\u0301nio Guterres noted that only 15% of the SDG targets are on track to be achieved by 2030 and that there is even a regression in some of the objectives.<\/p>\n

Jornal de Nego\u0301cios reports that the UN General Assembly adopted the declaration to accelerate the Sustainable Development Goals, with world leaders trying to rekindle the 2030 Agenda, which has only 15% of the SDGs on track.<\/p>\n

World leaders present at the SDG Summit, according to the publication, adopted a joint political declaration, committing to take “transformative and accelerated actions by 2030”, to pursue the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n

The daily Jornal de Noti\u0301cias reports that world leaders agree to increase funding for developing countries with immediate measures to unlock “more and better financing” for developing countries, citing an announcement from the United Nations (UN) after the Summit of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n

According to the UN, leaders today adopted a “decisive and action-oriented” Political Declaration, highlighting their collective commitment to building a sustainable, inclusive and prosperous world by 2030, the deadline for achieving the SDGs.<\/p>\n

Dia\u0301rio de Noti\u0301cias takes up the statements of President Marcelo de Sousa who considers that there has already been “a lot of wasted time, too much time” in achieving the 17 goals established in the so-called Agenda 2030.<\/p>\n
