Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Young MPLA activists, in the municipality of Icolo e Bengo, must raise awareness and practice the “prophecies” of Anto\u0301nio Agostinho Neto, aiming to preserve cultural identity and Angolanness, appealed, this Wednesday, the anthropologist and investigate, Joa\u0303o Fernando.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the scholar, who was speaking in the town of Catete, in a lecture on the theme “The life and work of Anto\u0301nio Agostinho Neto”, the first President of Angola, was a prophet, insofar as what he wrote in his works poetics, it’s really happening.<\/p>\n

Therefore, it is the opinion that young people know about the spirit of sacrifice of the first President, in the search for National Independence, Angolanity and calls on young people to follow his ideals, with a view to maintaining and consolidating peace, defending the rights of nationals and of the brotherhood.<\/p>\n

For psychologist Kanguimbo Anana\u0301s, who spoke about the three facets of Agostinho Neto (political, poetic and humanist), it is necessary to instill in young people the need to defend principles and values \u200b\u200bof well-being, peace and love for others, just as he was the founder of the Angolan Nation.<\/p>\n

“It is necessary for citizens to read the works of Agostinho Neto as they are prophetic”, appealed the speaker, in an act witnessed by MPLA activists, students and individual citizens.<\/p>\n

The scholar called on party leaders and public managers to put more effort into solving citizens’ problems, to live up to Neto’s thoughts, according to which, “The most important thing is to solve the people’s problems”.<\/p>\n

This activity marked the end of the political and patriotic Days, which began on the 10th of this month, in reference to the 17th of September, dedicated to the National Hero.<\/p>\n
