Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>At least five thousand operators have already received micro credits, for a global amount of around eight billion kwanzas, under the Informal Economy Reconversion Program, INAPEM’s PCA, Joa\u0303o Nkosi.<\/b><\/p>\n

The person responsible revealed these numbers after visits to the Sa\u0303o Paulo and Catinton markets, when he exchanged work experience with representatives from Brazil, Cape Verde, Mozambique and participants at the 1st International Forum on this topic.<\/p>\n

According to the President of the Board of Directors of the National Institute for Support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), the aforementioned Reconversion Program for the informal economy now brings a new paradigm in this second phase (2023 to 2027).<\/p>\n

Joa\u0303o Nkosi said that the new model, recently approved by the Multisectoral Reconversion Commission, leads INAPEM to have the most operational program with municipal administrations, taking into account that life currently takes place in municipalities.<\/p>\n

“PREI brings a new paradigm of microcredit with three levels, the first being 500 thousand kwanzas which goes up to a number not exceeding two million kwanzas; the second up to two million; and the third up to seven million kwanzas”, needed.<\/p>\n

In an interview with the press, the President of the Board of Directors of the National Institute of Support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises explained that this new paradigm aims to boost and expand the process of reconversion of the informal economy.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur expectation is that in each market there will be at least one permanent PREI store, in which we hope that the formalization store in the Sa\u0303o Paulo market will receive the citizens of that municipality to have the opportunity to formalize\u201d, he predicted.<\/p>\n

He added that the exercise will be the same as in other markets, as permanent stores will soon appear throughout the national territory, and the strategy is to decentralize services in each municipality and in each market to facilitate the formalization of operators and sellers to the services of the PRICE.<\/p>\n

Catinton market operators will benefit from an Integrated Service Center for the Reconversion of the Informal Economy, in a much more integrated model, within the scope of the program’s sustainability, which will have a set of services for residents and operators who carry out informal activities .<\/p>\n

The Sa\u0303o Paulo market, in Sambizanga, has two thousand and 100 sellers, while the Catinton market has another five thousand and 420 sellers in the private open-air market. Both are located in the municipality of Luanda.<\/p>\n
