Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola-Namibia are preparing a business forum to eliminate barriers to bilateral exchanges, in efforts that, yesterday, led the president of the Angolan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIA), Vicente Soares, to a three-day trip to Cunene, Cuando Cubango and the North of that country.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Angola-Namibia Business Forum was set up in February to resolve the issues of the slowdown in bilateral trade, during the visit to Luanda at that time by the deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of that country, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.<\/p>\n

According to Vicente Soares, bilateral trade flows are obstructed by excessive bureaucracy and poor perception, among Angolan economic agents, of that country’s commercial and customs legislation, but there are also problems with mobility caused by the open road infrastructure. angolan<\/p>\n

The visit to that region, Vicente Soares said, aims to embody the results of the meeting held, in Luanda, between the Deputy Prime Minister and the Angolan Minister of Foreign Affairs, T\u00e9te Ant\u00f3nio, at the end of which agreements were signed that give prominence to the private sector in bilateral trade.<\/p>\n

Vicente Soares said that the materialization of these agreements initially affects the two border provinces of southern Angola, which led to a trip that leads to a diagnosis of the factors that constrain the businesses. The business leader also contacts AGT representatives.<\/p>\n

The CCIA official visits the works at the Ondjiva Logistics Center, the customs posts at Santa-Clara, in Cunene, and Catituitui, in Cuando-Cubango, as well as holding meetings on the Namibian side of the border.<\/p>\n
