Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Ministry of Territorial Administration has seventy-seven projects underway across the country, with different levels of execution, in the province of Benguela.<\/b><\/p>\n

Among these, emphasis is placed on the construction of municipal residential complexes, municipal assemblies, administrations and other equipment.<\/p>\n

Speaking to journalists, at the end of visits to the municipalities of Chongoroi, Ganda and Cubal, the Minister of Territorial Administration, Dioni\u0301sio da Fonseca, informed that he is in the province of Benguela within the framework of the new governance dynamics, monitoring projects in loco , to be closer to citizens.<\/p>\n

“We note with satisfaction that, in Chongoroi, the level of execution of the Ministry of Territorial Administration’s projects is satisfactory”, he stated.<\/p>\n

In that municipality, MAT has two projects, namely, a Municipal Assembly and an Administrative Residential Complex to house technicians who will work in the municipalities.<\/p>\n

He explained that the Administrative Residential Complex is practically completed, although it still has some additional costs due to some constraints that have occurred.<\/p>\n

As for the Municipal Assembly, he said there was a delay in carrying out the work due to lack of payments to the contractor, but promised to work with the Ministry of Finance to ensure financing, so that they are in accordance with the measurement records.<\/p>\n

“All equipment that is in its terminal phase, in principle, will be inaugurated this year”, he stated.<\/p>\n

Dioni\u0301sio da Fonseca said that he also found with great satisfaction the level of execution of the restructuring program on the urban road network, in Cubal and Ganda.<\/p>\n

“It can be clearly seen that these two cities are expanding in a positive way”, he highlighted, appealing to the residents of the two administrative districts, to preserve the public assets at their disposal.<\/p>\n

He also referred to a school with 20 classrooms, in the municipality of Cubal, whose work has been on hold for some time and which the provincial government intends to reactivate.<\/p>\n

“We want to encourage education to be a priority for the Executive, and we will work with the responsible Ministry, which is also concerned about the considerable number of children outside the education system, to ensure that issues linked to teachers and laboratories are resolved” , he said.<\/p>\n

Still on the infrastructure related to local authorities, the minister focused on the work located in the municipality of Catumbela, with a marked delay in its physical execution, promising to make the State fulfill its responsibility for payments and the contractor with its technical capacity to complete the project.<\/p>\n

Dioni\u0301sio da Fonseca’s three-day visit to the province of Benguela aims to monitor projects under the responsibility of MAT and also the local government.<\/p>\n
