Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The integrated works in coastal cities in the province of Benguela, budgeted at 415 million euros, could gain more pace after the activation of financing, between the months of October and November, assured this Friday, governor Lui\u0301s Nunes .<\/b><\/p>\n

“These are works that complement each other in several sectors, namely water, energy, access roads, sidewalks, public lighting, among others”, he stated.<\/p>\n

The governor, who was speaking to journalists after a meeting with the Minister of Territorial Administration, Dioni\u0301sio da Fonseca, assured that the Provincial Government is working with the Ministry of Finance to release the funds.<\/p>\n

“2024 will be another stage with more work and more visibility in the actions we have developed”, he assured.<\/p>\n

He admitted, however, that at the moment its execution is slower compared to past months due to the lack of some payments.<\/p>\n

He said, on the other hand, that the level of execution of works under the responsibility of the Provincial Government of Benguela is more advanced than those under the supervision of the Ministry of Territorial Administration.<\/p>\n

Lui\u0301s Nunes was referring to the Municipal Assembly in Chongoroi and Luhongo, in Catumbela, recently visited.<\/p>\n

Among the works underway in the city of Lobito are Avenida Cerveira Pereira, in the Caponte neighborhood, Avenida Brasil, in Compa\u0303o, the Flamingo cinema, the Tchapanguele market and the water supply system for the upper zone.<\/p>\n

In Benguela, the most notable are Avenida 31 de Janeiro, which passes in front of the Hospital Geral de Benguela until the intersection to Lobito, and the new one on the waterfront, which runs from the palace to the mouth of the Cavaco River.<\/p>\n
