Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Recovering the moral and civic values \u200b\u200bof youth constitutes one of the challenges of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the \u201cTocoist\u201d World, thus contributing to the construction of a healthy society.<\/b><\/p>\n

In a statement Sunday, on the sidelines of the III Youth Conference of the ecclesiastical region of Cunene, pastor Gonc\u0327alo Baltazar said that one of the church’s main challenges is the evangelization of youth, the rescue of moral values, as it denotes There is a tendency for young people to be focused on the world of alcoholism, prostitution, among other practices.<\/p>\n

The coordinator of the youth ministry monitoring group said that the church, as a partner of the State, is committed to evangelization so that young people know the word, their reintegration, instruction and training to face the challenges of society.<\/p>\n

The prelate recalled that young people are the gift and driving force of the church and society in general, hence the need for greater preparation to equip them with tools to contribute to society.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, he said that the Conference, in which more than 50 young people from the six municipalities of the province of Cunene participate, is reflecting on the preaching of the word, evangelism and its forms of integration into society.<\/p>\n

He made it known that the event will balance the activities carried out in the last three years and foresee future actions, within the scope of the preparation of the celebrated national youth conference, to be held in 2024.<\/p>\n

The Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the World (Tocoi\u0301sta) was founded on July 25, 1949, by the Angolan prophet Sima\u0303o Toco, the religious institution has been recognized by the Angolan State since 1992.<\/p>\n

Its first recognition, as a religious movement, was made in 1974, still during the Portuguese colonial regime, after the return of Sima\u0303o Toco from the Azores, Portugal, where he was exiled for 12 years.<\/p>\n
