Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Angolan ambassador to Namibia, Jovelina Imperial, worked, on Saturday, in the city of Walvis Bay, Erongo Region, 395 kilometers from Windhoek, to listen to the Angolan community residing in the town to the north of that neighboring country.<\/b><\/p>\n

One of the main problems that has led to complaints is the lack of documents that guarantee permanent residence in Namibia, as most of them are in an irregular situation.<\/p>\n

Regarding this issue, similar to what she did in other regions of Namibia already visited by the diplomat, Jovelina Imperial held a meeting with the governor of Erongo, Naville Andre Itope, with whom she discussed issues linked to the integration and legalization of the Angolan community in Walvis Bay.<\/p>\n

In a statement, the Embassy of Angola in Namibia states that “it is not the first time that Jovelina Imperial has visited the Angolan community residing in Walvis Bay, whose concerns she heard, in addition to registering and updating consular cards, as she already has done during your mission.\u201d<\/p>\n

The trip of the head of the Angolan Diplomatic Mission to Namibia also served to bring essential goods to compatriots who reside in the coastal zone of that neighboring country, especially because “many Angolans are dedicated to fishing in this region\u201d.<\/p>\n

In Namibia, there are close to one hundred thousand Angolans. Ambassador Jovelina Imperial made it known that she will continue to provide essential services and listen to the concerns of Angolans in the different regions of that nation that shares a border with the country.<\/p>\n

The community’s recurring problems need to be mitigated, together with local authorities, in order to be able to draw up a joint action plan, so that they do not have constraints with the immigration police, hence, according to the Embassy, \u200b\u200bthe need to assign and update consular cards.<\/p>\n
