Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Culture and Art Foundation, in partnership with the organization “Friends of Azerbaijan”, promoted this Saturday, in Luanda, a musical concert called “Sons Unidos-Angola e Azerbaijan”.<\/b><\/p>\n

The event, which featured a performance by musician and conductor Sahib Pashazade, from Azerbaijan, aimed, among others, to promote the culture of both peoples and encourage the exchange of experience with Angolan artists.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, the general director of the Culture and Art Foundation, Naama Magalit Mitrell, said that the \u201cunited sounds – Angola and Azerbaijan\u201d will contribute to strengthening cultural and artistic ties, as well as promoting education and social inclusion, through the arts.<\/p>\n

He made it known that maestro Sahib Pashazade, in addition to participating in the show, brought with him a vast musical and cultural experience to enrich the activities of this project.<\/p>\n

“In this way, the foundation, together with maestro Sahib Pashazade, the Escola Sinfo\u0301nica Camunga and the art students of the aforementioned association will celebrate music and art in a comprehensive way, with the aim of uniting the two peoples”, he said.<\/p>\n

The cultural agenda culminated with a seminar involving students from both schools (Camunga and FAC), cultural exchange and musical performances with Angolan artists.<\/p>\n

The musician and conductor was recently appointed director of the Mugham International Center in Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n

Sahib Pashazade was born on October 24, 1980, in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan. During his career, he won presidential awards in his country, in 2011 and 2018, and was awarded the progress medal in 2020.<\/p>\n

In 2018, in the city of Warsaw, he won the “100 years of Independence of the Republics of Poland and Azerbaijan\u201d award and, in 2019, he received the medal from the city of Carrieres-Sous-Poissy, in France.<\/p>\n
