Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Only 79 churches, out of a total of 400 installed in the province of Ui\u0301ge, are legal (representing 20%), reported, this Sunday, the director of the Provincial Office of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports, Manuel Domingos Joa\u0303o.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking at the end of the ecumenical service in favor of peace, promoted by the Council of Revival Churches of Angola (CIRA), he urged the leaders of these churches to approach the Provincial Office of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports for the legalization of the activity.<\/p>\n

The official said that, at the moment, a new registration process is underway for all churches, with the aim of creating new archives, for better control and monitoring of religious activity in the region.<\/p>\n

Manuel Joa\u0303o also recognized that the churches, as partners of the State, have been engaged in fulfilling the mission of spreading the word of God and pacifying the spirits of the population.<\/p>\n

And, in turn, the president of CIRA, Nzuzi Anto\u0301nio, reaffirmed the church’s commitment to the mission of continuing to educate and raise awareness among the population for the preservation of peace and national unity.<\/p>\n

The ecumenical service was also marked by the inauguration of the new provincial delegate of the Council of Revival Churches of Angola in Ui\u0301ge, Miguel Kembo, and 15 other board members.<\/p>\n

CIRA’s new provincial delegate replaced Luzizila Lopes Panda, who held the position for two years.<\/p>\n
