Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The deputy municipal administrator for the Financial Area of \u200b\u200bCuanhama, Laimi Anibal, praised this Monday the actions of the \u201cOkutungafana\/Crescer Juntos\u201d project, aimed at the social development of communities.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Okutungafana\/Grow Together project promoted by the Archdiocesan Commission for Justice and Peace of the Catholic Church assessed the situation of vulnerable citizens, with the participation of rural communities.<\/p>\n

Laimi Ani\u0301bal was speaking at the opening of the workshop to present the preliminary public services monitoring report (Education, health, energy and water), which took place in the municipalities of Curoca, Cuvelai, Namacunde and Cuanhama, in the first half of this year.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, he said that this work made it possible to identify problems in the most remote areas and contribute to participatory governance, involving the beneficiary citizen.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe results of the report help municipal and communal administrations to better understand the social reality of communities, to take measures and solutions for the well-being of families\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

The person responsible made it known that the Cuanhama administration is available and open to all contributions and recommendations that could contribute to resolving the problems and causes diagnosed.<\/p>\n

Laimi Anibal called on other organizations to take these initiatives, because it is only possible to provide well-being in communities when everyone is aligned with the same thought.<\/p>\n

In turn, the project coordinator, Cristo\u0301va\u0303o Peingehafo, said that the monitoring consisted of evaluating the functioning and physical structures of schools, health posts, access to energy and water supply.<\/p>\n

He recalled that during the monitoring, the need to invest more in health and education infrastructures was noted in rural areas, to bring services closer to the population.<\/p>\n

Cristo\u0301va\u0303o Peingehafo highlighted that after the presentation of the preliminary report they continued to focus on the work for the final report in November.<\/p>\n

In 2021, the Participatory Poverty Assessment report was presented in Ondjiva, which contributed to the implementation of social projects and programs in the province of Cunene.<\/p>\n

The \u201cOkutungafana\/Grow Together\u201d project, ongoing in Cunene since 2020, was planned for a period of four years and is funded by the Norwegian Church.<\/p>\n
