Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The 2nd meeting of the National Security Council ended this Monday in Luanda, during which conflicts in the world and recent coups d’e\u0301tat in Africa were analyzed.<\/b><\/p>\n

Under the guidance of the President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Angolan Armed Forces, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, the members reviewed matters of interest in the life and functioning of the Defense and Security Bodies, the draft National Security Law and the Organic Statute of Military Intelligence and Security Service.<\/p>\n

At this meeting, which took place at the Presidential Palace of Cidade Alta, the members analyzed issues considered important, within the scope of the country’s Defense and Security, in addition to the members having learned about the situation of conflicts in the world and on the continent, especially the coups State and conflict in the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).<\/p>\n

The National Security Council is made up of 23 members, namely the Vice-President of the Republic, the presidents of the National Assembly, the Supreme Court, the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Military Court, the Attorney General of the Republic, the Minister of State and Chief of the Military House of the President of the Republic.<\/p>\n

Also included are the Ministers of State and Head of the Civil House of the President of the Republic, for Economic Coordination and the Social Area, as well as the Ministers of National Defense, Former Combatants and Veterans of the Country, Interior, Foreign Relations, Finance , Territorial Administration and Justice and Human Rights.<\/p>\n

The council also includes the chief of the General Staff of the FAA, general commander of the National Police, head of the State Information and Security Service, head of the Military Intelligence and Security Service, General Director of the External Intelligence Service, inspector general of the State Administration and the director general of the Criminal Investigation Service.<\/p>\n

Guest members and a technical group made up of other entities involved in the area of \u200b\u200bnational security also participate in the meeting.<\/p>\n
