Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>A control center for maneuvers in the equipment of the National Energy Distribution Company (ENDE) was inaugurated this Thursday, in the city of Lobito (Benguela), by the Minister of Energy and Water, Joa\u0303o Baptista Borges.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to ENDE’s regional director of exploration, Jose\u0301 Lopes, all of the company’s assets, such as substations, sectioning stations (PS), transport lines and other parameters, are displayed in that room (center).<\/p>\n

“Before, all the service was done manually, but now, mainly the substations and PSs, will be controlled from here, except for the Transformer Stations (PT) which will be operated with human presence”, he explained.<\/p>\n

The director revealed that, for the company to make a cut to a debtor, it will not be necessary to move an operator to the location. “It will be automatic from this room.”<\/p>\n

In terms of scope, he explained that the center is interconnected with Luanda and will serve as a back up for that province and the North in general.<\/p>\n

“Any problem in that region, the room can handle maneuvers with the coordination of technicians from there and vice versa”, he clarified.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the control center, also called the dispatch center, covers the provinces of Benguela, Huambo, Bie\u0301 and Cuanza Sul.<\/p>\n

In turn, minister Joa\u0303o Baptista Borges stated that this installation will bring more reliability and regularity throughout the central region.<\/p>\n

He compared it to an airplane cockpit, characterizing it as a nerve center of a system.<\/p>\n

“We are growing the distribution networks and the dispatch center is important, as it is from here that the necessary maneuvers are carried out to guarantee ENDE’s services”, he stated.<\/p>\n

The minister also said that this service will guarantee greater regularity for the satisfaction of ENDE’s customers.<\/p>\n

According to him, these dispatch centers will be installed as the distribution network increases.<\/p>\n

He stated that there is already one in Luanda, but what ENDE intends is to install regional centers, with one in Cabinda and another in the East region being on its agenda.<\/p>\n

Six technicians work at the Lobito control center on a shift basis, but there are mobile teams in Benguela and other provinces in the region, according to workers at that unit.<\/p>\n
