Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Cabinda Provincial Committee of the Angolan Women’s Organization (OMA) elected, this Wednesday, in this city, Maria Sambo as the new local secretary, during its III Extraordinary Assembly.<\/b><\/p>\n

Maria Sambo, who replaces Emiliana Nhengo, who ended her mandate due to incompatibility of functions, as she was elected deputy of the National Assembly (AN).<\/p>\n

The new person in charge was elected with 260 votes in favor, eight blank votes, two abstentions and none against.<\/p>\n

In her speech, she said that the priority will be to empower women through the practice of agriculture with a view to reducing signs of poverty within families and, on the other hand, the fight against illiteracy.<\/p>\n

He called for unity and cohesion within the activists for the challenges of the future, with hard work to achieve victory in the next general elections.<\/p>\n

The MPLA’s first provincial secretary of Cabinda, Mara Quiosa, said that the party in the province will do everything to continue supporting the work that the OMA has been carrying out very successfully within the spirit of mission and conciliation.<\/p>\n

He urged the militants of the MPLA base structures of OMA and JMPLA to unconditionally support the elected secretary so that through unity and cohesion \u201cwe can continue to fight in the certainty that only together we will be able to achieve victories\u201d.<\/p>\n
