Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Council of Ministers approved this Thursday, six bilateral instruments, within the framework of Angola’s Foreign Policy, including three relating to the Southern African Development Community (SADC).<\/b><\/p>\n

Under the guidance of the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, the Resolution approving the SADC Protocol on Environmental Management for Sustainable Development was approved, an instrument that aims to address the region’s environmental challenges.<\/p>\n

These relate, in particular, to land degradation, deforestation, loss of biodiversity and ecosystems, pollution and waste, inadequate access to clean water and sanitary services, poor urban conditions, challenges that affect the achievement of SADC’s environmental objectives.<\/p>\n

The documents also include the Resolution that Approves the Protocol on the Common Hydrographic Systems of the Southern African Region – SADC, an instrument whose purpose is to regulate the use of water resources in the SADC Region, as well as to coordinate their common management. , for the benefit of all Member States.<\/p>\n

The Resolution that Approves the Charter that creates the SADC Regional Fisheries Inspection, Control and Surveillance Coordination Center was also approved, a diploma whose objective is to provide the framework for the creation and operationalization of an institution that will coordinate inspection, control measures and fisheries surveillance in the SADC Region.<\/p>\n

The Resolution approving the Accession to the International Declaration on Transnational Organized Crime in the Global Fishing Industry (Copenhagen Declaration) was also passed by the Council of Ministers, a document whose objective is to carry out joint work by Ministers who serve the fishing sectors in complying with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.<\/p>\n

The Protocol for the Recognition of Certificates, Diplomas, Titles and Academic Degrees in Higher Education between the Republic of Angola and the Republic of Cuba was also approved, a legal instrument that aims to establish the normative framework and guidelines for the recognition of certificates, diplomas, academic titles and degrees, which prove professional and technical knowledge.<\/p>\n

The Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Angola and the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OEACP) in the Context of the Luanda Biennale, a document that aims to establish a legal framework that will enable the Republic of Angola to raise resources in conjunction with its partners, namely UNESCO and the African Union, with the aim of organizing the event, while the Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace and Non-Violence was also approved.<\/p>\n
