Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Vehicle Title, launched this Friday, in Luanda, is available, at this initial stage, in seven of the country’s 18 provinces, where the physical document (on PVC) will be printed, announced the deputy director of Institutional Communication and Press of the National Police, Deputy Commissioner Mateus Rodrigues.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the person responsible, in this first phase, this unified document will be printed for motor vehicles in the country’s capital, Bengo, Benguela, Hui\u0301la, Namibe, Cunene and Cabinda.<\/p>\n

Deputy Commissioner Mateus Rodrigues, who spoke at the official launch of the Vehicle Title, explained that in the second phase the provinces of Lunda Norte, Lunda Sul, Moxico, Huambo, Malanje Cuanza Norte, Cuanza Sul and Uige will be issued the aforementioned document. .<\/p>\n

The third and final phase, he added, comprises the provinces of Zaire, Bie\u0301 and Cuando Cubango.<\/p>\n

Despite this gradual process, the deputy director of Institutional Communication and Press of the National Police, assured that in the 18 provinces, at this time, technical and technological conditions are being created.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis single document simplifies 12 requirements that citizens had to comply with and reduces the four institutions that intervened in the process to one, in this case the Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety (DTSR), within the framework of interoperability\u201d, he asserted<\/p>\n

The Deputy Commissioner recalled that the process began with the General Tax Administration (AGT), the Regulatory Agency for Cargo and Logistics Certification of Angola (ARCCLA), the Automobile Registry Office and at the end the DTSR, as well as requiring the presence citizens, eight times, in these public facilities.<\/p>\n

From now on, the person responsible clarifies, through interoperability (connection of internal processes, with the AGT, registry office and DTSR), the citizen obtains their Vehicle Title instantly, only at the traffic department service counters.<\/p>\n

In case of technical impossibility in printing the Vehicle Title, the services issue a provisional document, with an expiration date.<\/p>\n

The Vehicle Title<\/p>\n

This document results from the unification of the Booklet and the Car Ownership Registration Title, created within the scope of the SIMPLIFICA project, in order to reduce bureaucracy, modernize and increase the efficiency of public services and make life easier for citizens.<\/p>\n

The new document allows for a single inspection action, carried out simultaneously by the National Police and the General Tax Administration.<\/p>\n

The Government’s expectation is to achieve an economic impact, as it will speed up property registration, which, in turn, will be useful for presenting guarantees to commercial banks and other services.<\/p>\n

Likewise, in addition to facilitating property registration, the positive effects of the initiative include the security component for vehicle identification.<\/p>\n

Vehicle Title Cost according to category<\/p>\n

For inspection, registration and initial registration of light vehicles, the driver pays 54,324 kwanzas. Trucks and tractors cost 57,872 kwanzas.<\/p>\n

Regarding inspection, registration and initial registration of motorcycles, the cost is 43,751 kwanzas.<\/p>\n

The service for replacing the Vehicle Title due to poor condition or loss is set at 26,729 kwanzas and for a duplicate or renewal of the document it costs kz 27,928.<\/p>\n

For motorists who wish to change the characteristics of the engine, color, tires, capacity and transformation of their vehicles, they must pay kz 26,729.<\/p>\n

The Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety (DSTR) is responsible for issuing the Vehicle Title, in an integrated process that involves the Motor Vehicle Registration Office and the AGT.<\/p>\n

The Vehicle Title does not remove the validity of the current Car Registration and Vehicle Title Title.<\/p>\n

This fact allows both documents to remain valid for identifying the vehicle and for determining its ownership.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the citizen does not need to access the issuing offices to process the new document, which will coexist with the old document temporarily.<\/p>\n

The issuance of the Vehicle Title will only apply to new processes, requested from September 29th of this year, including requests for the issuance of duplicates presented in the days following the launch of the new document.<\/p>\n
