Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The President of Interpol (International Criminal Police Organization), Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi, praised this Monday, in Luanda, Angola’s leadership in its efforts in the fight against cybercrime on the African continent.<\/b><\/p>\n

Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi, who was speaking to journalists after an audience with the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperanc\u0327a da Costa, highlighted that Angola is currently leading in matters related to the fight against cybercrime in Africa.<\/p>\n

In this sense, the head of Interpol thanked the national authorities for allowing the organization’s twenty-sixth regional meeting to be held in the country, which begins in the Angolan capital next Tuesday (3).<\/p>\n

Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi also highlighted that he assured the Vice-President of the Republic of the organization’s continued support for the country in the fight against crimes, especially cyber crimes, as well as for other States in the African region.<\/p>\n

This, he highlighted, is due to the fact that \u201ctransnational crime affects everyone and the best way to combat it is within the framework of great collaboration between all countries\u201d.<\/p>\n

Created in 1923, Interpol aims to combat various types of crimes through the association of law enforcement agencies from various countries.<\/p>\n

The country has been a member of the organization since October 6, 1982.<\/p>\n
