Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The provincial governor of Ui\u0301ge, Jose\u0301 Carvalho da Rocha, announced the start, in the next few days, of rehabilitation work on the 97 kilometers of road that connects the municipal headquarters of Ambuila to the commune of Quipedro.<\/b><\/p>\n

The road that connects the two locations has been in an advanced state of degradation for several years, a situation that makes it difficult for vehicles and the region’s population to circulate.<\/p>\n

Jose\u0301 Carvalho da Rocha, who made this promise, Tuesday, at the end of the visit he made to the commune of Quipedro, municipality of Ambuila, to verify the social and economic situation of the inhabitants of that district, said that the material and human conditions have been created to the start of earthworks.<\/p>\n

“The commitment we make here with the population is to improve access roads”, he said. .<\/p>\n

The ruler held a meeting with those responsible for the local Communal Administration and traditional authorities, an act that served to address the economic and social situation of the population.<\/p>\n

He also announced, for this year, the extension of the Local Family Farming Support Program (PLAAF), a commitment that aims to promote agricultural production in the region.<\/p>\n

The commune of Quipedro, which is 68 kilometers from the town of Quitexe and 90 kilometers from the seat of the municipality of Ambuila, has two districts, 11 villages, with agriculture as its main source of sustainability.<\/p>\n
