Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The implementation of construction projects for photovoltaic plants in Lau\u0301ca, province of Malanje, and Catete (Luanda) will count on global financing of 907 million 457 thousand and 623 dollars, to be granted, in credit, by the Export Bank and Import (EXIMBANK) from the United States of America.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to Presidential Order No. 230\/23, of September 29, of the total amount, USD 705.3 million (582.4 billion kwanzas) will be used to finance solar energy infrastructures, in addition to approximately 202.1 million US dollars (Kz 166.8 billion) for expenses on risk exposure.<\/p>\n

According to this document this Wednesday, the money to be loaned by EXIMBANK will be used in construction contracts, which include the development and design of engineering projects, construction, supervision and operational tests of the Lau\u0301ca and Catete photovoltaic plants, with capacity to produce 400 MW and 104 MW, respectively.<\/p>\n

According to the Presidential Order published in the Dia\u0301rio da Repu\u0301blica, the financing agreement will be signed between Angola, represented by the Ministry of Finance (as borrower), and EXIMBANK (lender), with the financial institution ING Capital LCC, as agent of this bank.<\/p>\n

With this, the document advances, it is delegated to the Minister of Finance, with the power to sub-delegate, to sign the aforementioned financing agreements and all related documentation, in the name and on behalf of the Republic of Angola.<\/p>\n

The contract works, supervised by the Ministry of Energy and Water, will be guaranteed by the companies Sun A\u0301frica LCC, Omatapalo – Engenharia e Construc\u0327a\u0303o, as well as Omatapalo Inc, for a global total of 735.8 million dollars.<\/p>\n
