Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angolan entrepreneurs will begin to benefit from technical training on small business management aimed at various segments of the national economy, with emphasis on agricultural and livestock projects, within the framework of cooperation between the National Institute of Support for Micro, Small and Medium-sized Companies Companies (INAPEM) and the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (SEBRAE).<\/b><\/p>\n

The fact was announced this Thursday, in Luanda, by SEBRAE institutional analyst, Larissa Gontijo, after the meeting between the Secretary of State for Economy, Ivan dos Santos, and a joint Brazilian delegation that will work in the Angolan capital and in the provinces of Bengo and Benguela, until the 13th of this month.<\/p>\n

According to the person responsible, the technical training results from the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two institutions, last August, in Luanda, as part of the visit of the President of Brazil, Lula da Silva, to Angola.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, the Brazilian technician said that the presence of her delegation in Angola serves to better understand the Angolan business reality, with a view to building a joint technical training project with INAPEM to support Angolan entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, with this cooperation, he added that SEBRAE hopes to contribute to its innovation strategy and implementation of public policies to support small businesses in Angola, a partnership that could be expanded to other sectors.<\/p>\n

He said that, from a concrete point of view, the implementation of the technical training project could begin within approximately one year, taking into account the legal procedures to be followed.<\/p>\n

Larissa Gontijo hoped that SEBRAE could contribute with its experience in supporting the management of small businesses in different segments, as it has been in the last 51 years of experience, with emphasis on projects linked to small-scale farming.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the person responsible considered the meeting she held with the Secretary of State for Economy to be positive, as it allowed her to learn more about the Angolan Government’s strategy for the business sector, a fact that constitutes a basis for the field visit to be carried out until the 13th. Of this month.<\/p>\n

For his part, the Secretary of State for Economy, Ivan dos Santos, reiterated that the presence of the Brazilian delegation in the country symbolizes the beginning of the materialization of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Angolan and Brazilian business class.<\/p>\n

He added that this visit will allow us to assess INAPEM’s strategic and structural model at the level of the country’s first three provinces (Luanda, Bengo and Benguela).<\/p>\n

With this, he said, it will be possible to have a basis for designing a joint work plan.<\/p>\n

He pointed out the technical training of entrepreneurs and other professionals as one of the priorities of cooperation between INAPEM and SEBRAE.<\/p>\n

In addition to the meeting with the Secretary of State for Economy, the joint delegation from SEBRAE and the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) also held a meeting with the INAPEM Board of Directors.<\/p>\n

The Brazilians’ work agenda includes methodological meetings with INAPEM, visits to provincial services, meetings with relevant actors in the business, innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, visits to structuring projects supported by INAPEM, among other activities.<\/p>\n
