Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The implementation of the Integrated Municipal Intervention Plan (PIIM) resolved the specific needs of the national population, from a social and economic point of view, said Thursday, in Huambo, the Secretary of State for Local Authorities, Ma\u0301rcio Daniel.<\/b><\/p>\n

The leader was speaking on a topic about the Impact of PIIM on the lives of the population, part of the 19th edition of the National Holiday Camp for University Students (CANFEU), which takes place in the commune of Calenga, municipality of Caa\u0301la, province of Huambo, under the motto \u201c University Youth Love the Homeland and Make Angola Grow”<\/p>\n

According to Ma\u0301rcio Daniel, PIIM concentrated projects in the sectors of education, health, resealing of access roads, acquisition of means for basic sanitation, generating sets, construction of small water supply systems and public safety in communities.<\/p>\n

He said that the education and health sectors were the ones that received the most actions across the country, with a focus on bringing these services closer to the population, aiming to promote social and economic development.<\/p>\n

The Secretary of State said that PIIM brought significant gains, above all, with the requalification of communication routes, construction of health units and schools, which allowed the improvement of the population’s living conditions.<\/p>\n

He revealed that in 2024, small and medium-sized projects will be transferred to local government bodies.<\/p>\n

He added that of the two thousand 685 projects designed, 885 were completed and delivered to the population, in all provinces of the country, whose infrastructures are satisfying the specific needs that found solutions, through PIIM.<\/p>\n

With the participation of more than a thousand young people from the country’s 18 provinces, CANFEU is a youth and academic space for the promotion and free exercise of debates and constructive dialogues in solidarity and educational leisure, as well as youth expression of culture, habits and customs of the various provinces and regions of our country.<\/p>\n
