Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Vice-President of the Republic, Esperanc\u0327a da Costa, visited, this Friday, the Dondi Mission, in the municipality of Cachiungo, Huambo province, classified as Historical-Cultural Heritage.<\/b><\/p>\n

The trip to this historic site takes place within the framework of the National Multisectoral Commission for the Safeguarding of Cultural Heritage, which is coordinated by the Vice-President of the Republic.<\/p>\n

This commission aims to promote the implementation of conservation programs and participatory management of cultural heritage, taking into account the need to adopt special measures to monitor national cultural heritage of exceptional universal value.<\/p>\n

The Dondi Mission should soon be included in the catalog of the Monument Churches of Angola, as well as included in the scope of cultural tourism.<\/p>\n

The third and final day of an intense day of work by Esperanc\u0327a da Costa in this province also included the completion of works on the Dondi University Campus and a trip to the Sanguengue Forest Polity, with around 9,000 hectares, of which 5,300 are degraded remaining forests of eucalyptus trees and 3,000 areas to be reforested.<\/p>\n

During the mission, the Vice-President of the Republic received explanations about the progress of the Campus works, an infrastructure financed by the Presidency of the Republic (six billion kwanzas), the completion of which is in the order of 82 percent.<\/p>\n

When completed, it will have 40 classrooms and 5,400 students, and will teach courses related to the areas of health, agriculture, theology, arts and crafts.<\/p>\n

Also this Friday, the Vice-President participated in a meeting with rural women and visited the Cachiungo Water Treatment Plant.<\/p>\n

Before, upon arrival in that municipality, he met, behind closed doors, with local authorities, who made a socioeconomic characterization of Cachiungo, which is 63 kilometers from the main municipality (Huambo).<\/p>\n

The working visit to Huambo was accompanied by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Maria do Rosa\u0301rio Braganc\u0327a, and the Secretaries of State for the Environment, Water, Agriculture, Health and Territorial Administration.<\/p>\n
