Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Footwear and Uniform Manufacturing Company (EFCU-EP) resumed its activities this Monday, in Luanda, after seven days of stoppage, as a result of employees fainting.<\/b><\/p>\n

In the facilities of this manufacturing unit, it was possible to verify the engagement of workers in the two production ships for various uniforms and boots.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, the administrative head of EFCU-EP, Paulo Sebastia\u0303o, assured that no chemical substance or other agent dangerous to human health had been identified in the company.<\/p>\n

Without quantifying, at the moment, the losses caused by the shutdown and disinfestation carried out at the facilities, the person responsible made it known that all employees treated in the hospital units have already been medically discharged and are receiving medical monitoring and psycho-emotional support from the company’s health professionals.<\/p>\n

Employees Joa\u0303o Ferreira and Isabel Jambeiro said that there was, at first, some fear about accessing the facilities, but, after a few hours of work, the fear was overcome and everything returned to normal.<\/p>\n

Footwear and Uniform Manufacturing Company (EFCU-EP), assigned to the Ministry of Defense, Former Combatants and Veterans of the Fatherland, has approximately 1,500 workers and has a monthly production capacity of 22,000 uniforms, the same number of shirts and 13 thousand 200 boots.<\/p>\n
