Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The National Institute for Support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM) encouraged businesspeople in the province of Cunene to join the Made in Angola Service (SFA) to be able to provide, from 2024, goods and services to State institutions.<\/b><\/p>\n

In the province of Cunene, only one company received the \u201cMade in Angola\u201d seal, of the three that joined the Made in Angola Service, out of a total of 930 controlled and certified by INAPEM.<\/p>\n

At country level, 364 companies have already submitted applications, as well as 689 national products, mainly food, already have the “Made in Angola” seal.<\/p>\n

The words of encouragement were launched by the head of INAPEM’s National Department of Studies and Statistics, Cla\u0301udio da Silva, when presenting the \u201cMade in Angola\u201d seal to the local business class.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the person in charge said that, by January 2024, public institutions will be obliged to purchase products with the Made in Angola seal, to better promote national production.<\/p>\n

He clarified that the Made in Angola Service aims to mobilize companies to improve the competitiveness of national goods and services and contribute to the sustained balance of the trade balance.<\/p>\n

He defended a greater mobilization of economic operators to join this initiative, as long as they are legally constituted, with continuous business activity and without pending issues with the AGT and the National Institute of Social Security (INSS).<\/p>\n

Among the advantages, he highlighted access to State financing lines, differentiated treatment by the General Tax Administration (AGT) and privileged access to national and international events.<\/p>\n

Cla\u0301udio da Silva highlighted that INAPEM will address the concerns raised by several companies, particularly in Cunene, as it was found that AGT should make the tax collection process more flexible and easier.<\/p>\n

In turn, the director of the provincial Office of Integrated Economic Development of Cunene, Felisberto Hisimongula, considered that adherence to the Made in Angola Seal could stimulate the increase in national production.<\/p>\n

The person in charge admitted that the meeting encouraged the local business community to participate in boosting the service process with a seal made in Angola, so that they can obtain more income from the important work they provide in the country.<\/p>\n

The Made in Angola Service, whose restructuring began in 2021, aims, among other objectives, to encourage an increase in national production and promote national products. It also intends for the seal to be a reference for national production abroad.<\/p>\n

Adhesion to the Made in Angola Seal gives adherents, among other benefits, the preference of public institutions in the acquisition of goods and services, since from January 1, 2024, companies will be obliged to purchase products with the Made Seal in Angola.<\/p>\n

The label attributed by the Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP), within the framework of the Executive’s strategies to stimulate national production and reduce imports, covers 183 companies.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by businesspeople, entrepreneurs, representatives of various public and private institutions.<\/p>\n
