Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, approved a loan worth US$2.7 billion with Luminar Finance Limited, from the Israeli group Haim Taib, to finance projects, infrastructures and services.<\/b><\/p>\n

It includes financing, the sectors of public works, energy, natural resources, education, agriculture and agro-processing, water, sanitation, technology and communication, real estate, health and economic development.<\/p>\n

According to Ra\u0301dio Nacional de Angola (RNA), which cites a Presidential Order, dated October 6, published in Dia\u0301rio da Repu\u0301blica, the execution of the projects will be the responsibility of the Israeli group Mitrelli, which operates in sectors such as telecommunications, agriculture and health.<\/p>\n

The measure is justified by the need to finance \u201cstrategic and priority projects\u201d in different sectors of the country’s economy.<\/p>\n

The President of the Republic authorizes the Minister of Finance, Vera Daves de Sousa, with the power to sub-delegate, to sign the aforementioned framework financing agreement with the financial institution Luminar Finance Limited and all documentation related thereto.<\/p>\n

Liminar Finance Limited, a company based in Zurich, Switzerland, linked to the Israeli Mitrelli group, is involved in financing several housing and electrification projects in Angola.<\/p>\n

Presenting itself as a world-leading provider of financing solutions for emerging market countries, mainly in Sub-Saharan Africa, Luminar Finance Limited is part of Haim Taib’s Menomadin group and only finances projects in countries that have contracts with Mitrelli.<\/p>\n
