Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of State for the Social Area, Dalva Ringote, reiterated, Friday, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the engagement of the President of the Republic and Champion of Peace and Reconciliation, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, in organizing the Luanda Biennale, while platform for disseminating and implementing the culture of peace and African citizenship.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the minister, who was speaking after a meeting with the President of the African Union (AU) Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, topics such as education, reconciliation, democratic and constitutional transition, energy security will be debated at the Luanda Biennale. and food, environmental protection, gender and inclusion of young people and women in decision-making centers as premises generating sustainable development in Africa.<\/p>\n

In turn, the host confirmed his presence and that of several AU commissioners at the event, expressing his recognition for the commitment of the President of the Republic of Angola to issues of Peace and Reconciliation on the continent.<\/p>\n

Moussa Faki Mahamat stated that young people, women, universities and culture must serve as inspiration for the maintenance of constitutional order in all African countries.<\/p>\n

Dalva Ringote, who has been in Addis Ababa since Thursday, as part of the agenda of the Steering Committee of the Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace and Non-Violence, carried out preparatory activities for the third edition of the Luanda Biennale, the take place from 22 to 24 November, in co-organization with the AU and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).<\/p>\n

Also on Friday, the Angolan minister co-chaired the 1st Ordinary Meeting of the Steering Committee of the Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace and Non-Violence, which assessed and adopted the governing documents of the Luanda Biennale, particularly the Conceptual Note and the Program, containing the themes of the panels, the intergenerational dialogue sessions between the Heads of States and Government and young people, the internationally renowned speakers, the objectives of the event, the parallel activities and the recommended results.<\/p>\n

The Steering Committee meeting also included a message about UNESCO’s commitment to the successful holding of the 3rd edition of the Luanda Biennale, presented, via video conference, by the deputy director general for Priority Africa and Relations UNESCO External Affairs, Anthony Ohemeng-Boamah.<\/p>\n
