Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The celebration of 32 years of existence of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), created on October 9, 1991, under the Bicesse Agreements, marked last week’s political news.<\/b><\/p>\n

For this reason, the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, as Commander-in-Chief of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), congratulated all military and civilian workers on the anniversary of the military institution.<\/p>\n

In a message, the Head of State warmly congratulated the general officers, admirals, superiors, captains and subalterns, sergeants and enlisted men, as well as the civilian workers who, on the front line and in the rear, ensure the uncompromising defense of independence and national sovereignty and the integrity of the country’s soil, creating the conditions of security and stability necessary for the country’s development and social progress<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the context of peace, the Armed Forces have gained greater prestige due to their engagement in social tasks and others of public interest, such as, for example, their participation in community activities and the preservation of the environment, contributing to the improvement of conditions of the populations\u201d, says the letter.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, when speaking on the occasion of the anniversary, the Chief of Staff of the FAA, Altino Jose\u0301 dos Santos, reiterated that the institution constitutes the \u201csecure and unavoidable bulwark\u201d of peace, stability, unity and national reconciliation.<\/p>\n

The Aviation general highlighted that the FAA has a sublime importance in the geopolitical and geostrategic scenario in the Southern Region, in particular, in Africa and in the world, in general.<\/p>\n

The aviation general said there is a need to continually adapt its military apparatus to changing circumstances, with the power of deterrence and effective response capacity to defend territorial integrity, sovereign bodies and populations.<\/p>\n

The week’s news also echoed the sending of congratulations by the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, to the King of Spain, Philip VI, on the celebration of Hispanicity Day.<\/p>\n

In a message addressed to the monarch, the Head of State expressed the conviction that \u201cjoint and fruitful actions between the two countries, in different areas, will result in an exponential increase in bilateral cooperation\u201d.<\/p>\n

Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o also considered that such actions \u201cwill have a positive impact on the economies of both countries\u201d, resulting in \u201can improvement in the quality of life of the populations of the respective nations\u201d.<\/p>\n

Another headline from the last seven days concerns Angola’s participation in the General Debate of the 74th Session of the Executive Council (ExCom), of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), held in Geneva, Switzerland.<\/p>\n

At the aforementioned meeting, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Esmeralda Mendonc\u0327a, highlighted Angola’s commitment to combining synergies with specialized UN agencies to mitigate the problem of refugees and displaced people around the world.<\/p>\n

The head of the Angolan delegation drew the attention of the members of the UNHCR Executive Council to the need to put an end to the selective solidarity that has been observed, motivating the persistence of prolonged cases, but which could have already been overcome.<\/p>\n

Also noteworthy is the meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Te\u0301te Anto\u0301nio, and his Namibian counterpart Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, where the parties reaffirmed the importance of peaceful coexistence and good neighborliness along the common border, as well as the need to resolve the issue of Namibian cattle breeders installed in the southern part of Angola.<\/p>\n

Another focus was the formalization of the UNITA Parliamentary Group within the National Assembly, of its proposal to dismiss the President of the Republic (PR), Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o.<\/p>\n

In the document, the party points out, among other allegations, alleged violations of the Constitution and interference in the legislative and judicial powers, by the Holder of the Executive Branch.<\/p>\n

\u200b The\u200b call, for Saturday, by the president of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira, for the Extraordinary Plenary Meeting of the 2nd Legislative Session of the V Legislature\u200b, also marked the end of the week.<\/p>\n

According to the call, the call for deputies follows paragraph c) of article 42, in conjunction with paragraph of article 44, both of the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly.<\/p>\n

According to the document, the meeting will have as its sole point \u201cthe Proposal for the Creation of an Eventual Committee on the Process of Accusation and Dismissal of the President of the Republic”, signed by 90 deputies of the UNITA Parliamentary Group, under the terms of no. 3 of article 284 of the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly<\/p>\n

\u200bIt also highlights the tenth edition of Cafe\u0301CIPRA, in Luanda, which addressed the results of the implementation of the Simplifica Project 1.0 and 2.0, since its beginning, in 2021, until now, with the presence of the secretary of the President of the Republic for State Reform, Pedro Fiete, and the directors of Identification, Records and Notary, Migration and Foreigners Service (SME) and Traffic and Road Safety, respectively, Aristides Marques, Joa\u0303o da Costa Dias and Elias Livulu.<\/p>\n

\u200bOn the occasion, the Secretary of the President of the Republic for State Reform, Pedro Fiete, announced\u200b the implementation of the simplification of land rights procedures, within the scope of the Simplifica project.<\/p>\n

\u200bHe said that in the near future the major undertaking of the project will focus on this area and guarantee the simplification of the registration of real estate ownership (property securitization).<\/p>\n

The secretary informed that in the next two months the issue of approval of higher education studies will also be resolved, along with the issue of construction and industrial licenses (regulations, rules and technological solution for this purpose).<\/p>\n

Director Joa\u0303o da \u200bCosta Dias assured that the issuance of ordinary passports and documents for foreigners is being carried out within the deadlines established by law, without the constraints of the past.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that, as a result of the project, the SME is gaining a certain momentum and scrupulously complying with what the legislation determines.\u200b<\/p>\n
