Speaking after a meeting with the vice-governor of Hui\u0301la for the technical sector and infrastructure, He\u0301lio de Almeida, the diplomat, who is on a two-day visit to the province, declared that they intend to bring companies that produce biotechnology applied to agriculture. livestock farming, to improve production, gradually putting an end to the old system, dependent on rain.<\/p>\n

He justified that Angola has to migrate to the use of biotechnology to have production that can feed the population and still have a surplus to distribute in other countries, like his country, which currently feeds its population and still exports to 400 million people in the world.<\/p>\n

He highlighted that this reality was only possible with the use of biotechnology, applied science in the agriculture and livestock sectors that made Argentina a powerhouse in agribusiness.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have potential that favors the development of agriculture, but the arable surface suitable for this practice in Argentina is lower than in Angola, so Angola can have greater productivity with intensive use of biotechnology\u201d, he reinforced.<\/p>\n

He added that his country wants to share and establish cooperation with Angola and show that it is possible, but without these resources, the country will not be able to feed its population, which is growing by at least one million inhabitants\/year.<\/p>\n

In this context, Alejandro Verdier highlighted that he intends to create partnerships to bring teachers and create careers in the agricultural and livestock sector, which are applied to the geography of each province in the country, similar to an ongoing project in Bie\u0301, which begins training in degree, the first students in water engineering, starting next November.<\/p>\n

In turn, the vice-governor of Hui\u0301la for the Technical and Infrastructure sector of Hui\u0301la, He\u0301lio de Almeida, highlighted that the province would benefit from Argentina’s potential in the field of agriculture, a partnership that is welcome.<\/p>\n

Alongside agriculture, the government official requested that Argentina also look at the tourism sector, challenging the Latin country to bring its greatest icon, Lionel Messi, to Hui\u0301la to \u201csell\u201d the province’s tourist potential and Angola.<\/p>\n
