Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Social Grant, launched this Tuesday, constitutes an innovative investment instrument to support family farming, with an impact on generating wealth and combating poverty, in a sustainable way, considered the Minister of Finance, Vera Daves de Sousa .<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking at the official launch ceremony of the project called Bolsa Social, from the Angolan Debt and Securities Exchange (BODIVA), the government official indicated that this is a mechanism aimed at objectives, in addition to financial profit.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis initiative provides investors with an opportunity to channel their resources into projects that aim to generate positive social impact, without prejudice to legitimate expectations of financial return\u201d, he highlighted.<\/p>\n

Vera Daves emphasized that the Bolsa Social initiative helps the most vulnerable families, creating conditions for self-sustainability.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the minister explains, the Social Grant will support productive sectors linked to family farming, as this segment generates wealth and fights poverty in a sustainable way, creating a new type of profit, \u201csocial profit\u201d.<\/p>\n

In her communication, the director highlighted that this instrument allows organizations and entrepreneurs to raise resources for initiatives on social, economic, environmental and cultural issues, attracting investors who want to make a difference in society.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the launch of the Social Grant, the conditions are created for the emergence of projects that are increasingly inclusive and sustainable, with the profit component also having a social well-being component, contributing to the objective of reducing poverty and inequalities in access to income \u201d, reinforced the Minister of Finance, Vera Daves de Sousa.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the Secretary of State for the Family and Promotion of Women, Alcina da Cunha Kindanda, considered the Bolsa Social project as an important instrument to help vulnerable families, particularly those in rural areas.<\/p>\n

According to the Secretary of State, with this initiative, families will have access to financing and technical assistance to develop small businesses, transform products, and flow production, combined with financial literacy.<\/p>\n

\u201cFamilies will be able to improve their incomes, and with this, the quality of life of their households. We hope that this project can benefit the greatest number of organizations and families\u201d, aims the government official.<\/p>\n

Bolsa Social, from the Angolan Debt and Securities Exchange (BODIVA), will develop the pilot phase, in partnership with the Association for Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship (SEIVA) in the Dombe Grande region, in Benguela.<\/p>\n

Accordingly, the project, budgeted at Kz 450 million for the next three years, will particularly focus on the empowerment of rural women and reduce the costs of financing agricultural activities for 1,250 families.<\/p>\n
