Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Thirty-two communications, out of a total of 65 to be presented at the 1st international congress on Science, Innovation and Development of Lusofonia, will be made by Angolans.<\/b><\/p>\n

The information was provided to the press this Tuesday by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Maria do Rosa\u0301rio Braganc\u0327a, stating that 10 communications will be in person and the rest online.<\/p>\n

Interventions will be made by Angolan researchers in various areas, with emphasis on quality assessment of higher education, digital transformation, health, global development, renewable energy, gender promotion and reduction of inequalities.<\/p>\n

The minister referred to the existence of a set of interventions focused on science and innovation for development, as well as good practices, where Angola will intervene through the Foundation for Scientific and Technological Development, to show the experience it has had on the science financing model.<\/p>\n

He praised the initiative of the Luso\u0301fona University of Cape Verde, taking into account that higher education has been an important lever to promote cooperation in the sector.<\/p>\n

The minister highlighted the presence of the Vice-President of Angola, Esperanc\u0327a da Costa, who participated in the event on behalf of PR, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, and the entire Angolan scientific community, adding that teachers and researchers should be encouraged.<\/p>\n

The 1st International Congress of “Science, Innovation and Development in Lusofonia, taking place on the Island of Sa\u0303o Vicente, Republic of Cape Verde.<\/p>\n

Promoted by the Luso\u0301fona University of Cape Verde, the event, which foresees the participation of Angola, Sa\u0303o Tome\u0301 and Pri\u0301ncipe, Guinea-Bissau Bissau, Brazil and Portugal, aims to show the importance of science and research for sustainable development.<\/p>\n

Taking place in a hybrid format (online and in-person) under the motto \u201cAssuming its role as a promoter of knowledge\u201d, the event will reflect on the blue economy, renewable energy, digital transition, new information and communication technologies, among other topics.<\/p>\n
