Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Angolan ambassador to Cape Verde, Ju\u0301lia de Assunc\u0327a\u0303o Cipriano Machado, this Tuesday invited members of the business sector to look at investment opportunities and the Angolan market.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking to the press on the sidelines of the 1st international congress on Science, Innovation and Development of Lusofonia, the diplomat informed that the volume of commercial exchanges is not yet significant and believes that it can be leveraged.<\/p>\n

Ju\u0301lia Machado recalled that in 2022 the 8th bilateral joint commission was held, which aimed to address various aspects in order to increase trade exchange, having centralized the issue of air and sea transport as a priority.<\/p>\n

In this sense, four legal instruments were signed in the field of air transport, three memoranda and an agreement, without however advancing values.<\/p>\n

The diplomat also highlighted the signing of an agreement in the field of investments related to the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments, creating legal conditions so that investors and the private sector feel safe to invest in both Angola and Cape Verde.<\/p>\n

Regarding the Angolan community, he made it known that around 150 Angolans live in Cape Verde spread across the nine islands, 30 percent in Mindelo.<\/p>\n

Regarding the congress promoted by the Luso\u0301fona University of Cape Verde taking place from the 18th to the 20th of this month in the city of Mindelo, on the island of Sa\u0303o Vicente, it highlighted the presentation of very important themes in the various areas linked to new technologies, fishing, tourism and science.<\/p>\n

The formalization of political-diplomatic relations between Angola and Cape Verde dates back to August 30, 1977.<\/p>\n

The historical and fraternal relations between Angola and Cape Verde have strengthened over the years, being based on common values \u200b\u200band a deep understanding of regional and global needs.<\/p>\n

Through dialogue and collaboration, the two countries have worked together to address global challenges, promote peace and stability in the region, and seek opportunities for economic progress.<\/p>\n
