Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Angola Joa\u0303o Baptista Quiosa presented, this Friday, in Lome\u0301, to the President of Togo, Essouzima Gnassingbe Eyadema, the Letters that accredit him as non-resident ambassador to that West African country.<\/b><\/p>\n

Joa\u0303o Baptista Quiosa is ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary residing in Accra, Ghana.<\/p>\n

Angola and Togo have a long-standing political and economic relationship, with Togo being one of Angola’s largest trading partners on the African continent, according to a note from the Angolan Embassy in Accra, to which PRESS had access.<\/p>\n

With the accreditation of the ambassador, it is expected that cooperation relations between the two countries will be strengthened.<\/p>\n

Togo is home to the headquarters of the company Asky Airlines, which operates three weekly flights on the Lome\u0301\/Luanda route and vice versa.<\/p>\n

Located in West Africa, Togo has more than seven million inhabitants (according to 2016 data) and is bordered to the north by Burkina Faso, to the east by Benin, to the south by the Atlantic Ocean and to the west by Ghana.<\/p>\n
