Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The National Union of Justice and Administrative Technicians of the Attorney General’s Office (SINTAJAPGR) defended, this Sunday, in Huambo, greater openness and capacity for dialogue on the part of the employer in solving the sector’s problems.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to SINTEJAPGR spokesperson, Joa\u0303o Neves, who spoke at the closing of the 1st National General Assembly of this body, held in the city of Huambo, there is also a model of openness and dialogue that is not favorable to a democratic State of law, as is the case in Angola.<\/p>\n

He added that the democratic rule of law requires institutional relations between employers and unions in a permanent and cordial manner.<\/p>\n

Joa\u0303o Neves said it was necessary to look at SINTEJAPGR as an ideal partner in the discussion and search for solutions to the problems that still afflict the working class and the sector, in general.<\/p>\n

The union leader pointed out the non-approval of the remuneration statute, the relativity in the attribution of rights, the irregularities in the payment of picketing allowances and in category promotions as the main concerns contained in the demand list presented to the employer.<\/p>\n

He said that SINTEJAPGR, with representation in the country’s 18 provinces, has two thousand 350 registered members, corresponding to 95 percent of workers in the sector.<\/p>\n

The event, which analyzed, as a single point, the review of statutes, recommended changing the previous system of payment of quotas by UCF and individual settlement, to the deduction of 1 percent of employees’ base salary, through withholding tax .<\/p>\n

The general assembly, which was attended by 17 of the country’s 18 provinces (Namibe did not participate), was preceded by a National Colloquium (the organization’s first), held on Friday.<\/p>\n
