Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angolan diplomat Miguel Bembe defended, this Monday, in the city of Djibouti, a country with the same name, the need for both countries to make bilateral relations more dynamic and consistent, through the exploration of new areas of cooperation.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to a press release, Miguel Bembe made these statements, on the sidelines of the presentation, to the President of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh, the Letters of Credentials that enable him to exercise the functions of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary ambassador of Angola, a non-resident in the country of “horn of Africa”.<\/p>\n

In his address he said that Angolan foreign policy continues to focus, above all, on economic diplomacy, with a focus on attracting direct foreign investment, stimulating national production and exports, exploring regional and continental opportunities, as well as multilateralism and the search for political solutions to conflicts in Africa.<\/p>\n

The occasion also served for the Angolan diplomat to convey to the Head of State of Djibouti the greetings of his Angolan counterpart, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, as well as the need to strengthen bilateral relations, which are intended to be solid and robust.<\/p>\n

Djibouti is a country that enjoys a stable political climate, with its elite committed to reforming democracy and strengthening the process of integral and inclusive economic and social development.<\/p>\n

The country is strategically located in the so-called “horn of Africa”, covering access to the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean, serves as an important refueling, transshipment center and main seaport for neighboring countries.<\/p>\n

It is currently committed to implementing the \u201cVision Djibouti 2035\u201d Plan, which aims to transform the country into a logistical and commercial center for East Africa, without losing sight of the creation of a sovereign wealth fund to finance the projects defined for the next decade.<\/p>\n

With this plan, it hopes to serve as a reference for many African countries and continue to improve and modernize strategic services, good governance and the development of human resources.<\/p>\n

Angola and Djibouti maintain friendly relations and political-diplomatic cooperation.<\/p>\n
