Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The import of around 711 thousand metric tons of liquid fuels (71.36%) cost around 657.81 million dollars (one USD is equivalent to kz 831.548), during the third quarter of this year, which represents an increase of close to USD 108 million, compared to the previous period.<\/b><\/p>\n

In the same quarter of the previous year, the import of 704 thousand and 718 metric tons of petroleum derivatives (68% of the total volume of refined products, fixed at 1,036,351 tons) was valued at around 549 million dollars.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in the third quarter of this year, a total of 996 thousand and 752 metric tons of liquid fuels were acquired, 71.36% coming from imports, 27.40% (around 273 thousand and 110 tons) from the Luanda Refinery and 1.30% (12 thousand and 957 MT) of Cabgoc – Topping de Cabinda.<\/p>\n

According to the general director of the Petroleum Derivatives Regulatory Institute (IRDP), Lui\u0301s Fernandes, diesel represented 58.15% of the total volume of fuels purchased, while gasoline corresponded to 24.78%, fuel oil 11.30%, jet A1 69%, illuminating oil 0.74% and asphalt bitumen 0.33%.<\/p>\n

When presenting the balance of activities in the petroleum derivatives sector in the last quarter, this Thursday, in Luanda, the person responsible said that the country had an installed storage capacity for liquid fuels of 675 thousand and 968 cubic meters, on land. .<\/p>\n

He also highlighted that during this period there were 1,160 fuel filling stations, of which 908 were operational.<\/p>\n

Of this universe, he said, 324 positions are from Sonangol Distribuic\u0327a\u0303o e Comercializac\u0327a\u0303o (35.7%), 79 from Pumangol (8.7%), 64 from Sonangalp (7%), 51 from Total Energies Marketing Angola (TEMA), with 5 .6%, and 390 White Flag – Private Agents (43%).<\/p>\n

As a result, in the last quarter there was an increase of 36 operational gas stations, compared to the previous period.<\/p>\n

However, there were also 45 municipalities without operational gas stations, a fact that represents an opportunity for investors to install similar equipment in these locations, according to Lui\u0301s Fernandes.<\/p>\n

Regarding the commercialization of liquid petroleum derivatives, the general director of IRDP said that the global sales volume of the various business segments (retail – B2C, consumption – B2B and bunkering) was approximately one million 171 thousand and 833 metric tons, registering a slight decrease of around 0.25%, compared to the same quarter of the previous year.<\/p>\n

In terms of market share in terms of sales volume, Sonangol Distribuic\u0327a\u0303o e Comercializac\u0327a\u0303o maintains the leadership, with 64%, followed by Pumangol (21%), Sonangalp (8%) and Total Energies Marketing Angola (7%).<\/p>\n

Gaseous fuels<\/p>\n

For this segment, around 156 thousand and 20 metric tons of cooking gas (Liquefied Petroleum Gas – LPG) were introduced into the domestic market, representing an increase of close to 64% compared to the second quarter of this year.<\/p>\n

Of this amount of gaseous fuels, the Angola LNG factory supplied 66% of gas, Sanha 29%, Luanda Refinery 3% and Topping de Cabinda contributed 2%.<\/p>\n

Of the total gas supplied to the market, 123 thousand and 290 metric tons were sold (an increase of 13%), with Sonangol Ga\u0301s e Energias Renova\u0301veis \u200b\u200bleading the commercialization of this product, with a market share of 78%, Saiga\u0301s (11%) , Proga\u0301s (5%), Gaste\u0301m (4%) and Canhongo Ga\u0301s (1%).<\/p>\n

In the period in question, the provinces that consumed the most LPG were Luanda, with 60% consumption, Benguela (10%), Hui\u0301la (6%), Huambo (4%) and Cabinda (3%).<\/p>\n

Still in the last quarter, the country had a storage capacity of 10,927 metric tons on land.<\/p>\n

Lubricants<\/p>\n

In relation to lubricants, there was a volume of around seven thousand and 827 metric tons, which were sold on the domestic market, representing a decrease of approximately 22.9%, compared to the third quarter.<\/p>\n

Of the total volume sold, one thousand and 312 (16.8%) metric tons were of national production, while six thousand and 515 (83.2%) tons came from imports.<\/p>\n
