Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The MPLA, party in power in Angola, in Tianjin, China, considered it a privilege for the country to be considered a strategic partner of the People’s Republic of China (PRC). <\/b><\/p>\n

The statement was made by the secretary of the MPLA Political Bureau for International Relations, Manuel Augusto, at the end of a five-day visit to the Asian country, at the invitation of the Chinese Communist Party (PCCh).<\/p>\n

The politician said that the visit was fruitful and that the MPLA and the CPC will continue regular consultations to, at each moment, find the best way to face the challenges facing both parties, States and societies.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe PRC is a power in all areas, namely economic and military, and therefore it is a privilege for Angola to be considered a strategic partner of China\u201d, he highlighted.<\/p>\n

For Manuel Augusto, the invitation also served to celebrate 40 years of official relations between the MPLA and the PCCh, two political formations with increased responsibilities, whose histories are intertwined.<\/p>\n

Still according to the politician, party cooperation is very strong and is reflected in that of the States. The PRC helped Angola at the time it needed it most and this support was essential for the national reconstruction process.<\/p>\n

The MPLA received guarantees from the CCP that the partnership, in the area of \u200b\u200bstaff training, will continue and increase. The Angolan academic community, in the PRC, is estimated at more than 300 students.<\/p>\n

Manuel Augusto was at the head of an MPLA delegation, which carried out various activities for five days, with emphasis on the meeting with the vice minister of the Department of International Relations of the Chinese Communist Party (PCCh), Li Mingxiang.<\/p>\n

The party delegation was also received by the vice president of the Chinese city of Tianjin, Zhang Ling, visited the CCP Party School, the Port of Tianjin, the largest artificial port and the eighth largest in the world, as well as the museums of Zhou Enlai and the Marine .<\/p>\n
