Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Petro de Luanda, motivated by qualifying for the quarter-finals of the League of African Champions Clubs in football, receives, today, at 2:00 pm, the disappointing Zamalek, at Est\u00e1dio Nacional 11 de Novembro, in Luanda, in the opening game of the fifth and penultimate round of Group D, with the aim of conquering another triumph.<\/b><\/p>\n

With the qualification achieved last weekend, against Sagrada Esperan\u00e7a, a 3-0 victory, the Eixo Vi\u00e1rio tricolors will seek to maintain their unbeaten record in the competition, in order to maintain the first place in the series.<\/p>\n

It’s a challenge in which Petro’s fans are waiting, with vanity, for the triumph to confirm the team’s competitive ascendancy in the current football season after years of starvation.<\/p>\n

The Egyptians intend to go against the intentions of the Angolan group.<\/p>\n

The two teams drew 2-2 on February 12, at Cairo International Stadium, for the first round of the series, in a match in which the tricolors let the triumph slip away in time-outs.<\/p>\n

Gleison Moreira and Vidinho scored the goals of the Eixo Vi\u00e1rio team, while Obama Ibrahim and Mahmoud Hamdi signed for the Egyptians.<\/p>\n

At the top of the group, with ten points, the tricolors play at home and in front of their audience, with an opponent already away, but who hopes to end the campaign with the pride of a five-time African champion of the Champions League. The Egyptians won the race in 1984, 1986, 1993, 1996 and 2002.<\/p>\n

In the league table, Etoile occupies the third position, with three points, followed by Jwaneng Galaxy in the fourth and last place, with one.<\/p>\n

Sagrada and Wydad try to escape the tail<\/b><\/p>\n

Sagrada Esperan\u00e7a plays, today, at 20:00, with Wydad AC, at Est\u00e1dio Nacional 11 de Novembro, for the conclusion of the fifth round of Group D of the League of African Champions Clubs of football, in a match that opposes the last and the first classified .<\/p>\n

The diamondifers are in the last position of the series, with one point and the Moroccan set is in the first, with nine.<\/p>\n

Despite being away from qualifying for the other phase, the Lunda team today has an excellent opportunity to get even for the defeat in the opening round. Still, a balanced match is expected during regulation time.<\/p>\n

Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa decides, today, at 14:00, the qualification for the semi-finals against Al-Hilal of Sudan, in the city of Omdurman, outside Cairo, in a game for Group A.<\/p>\n

The South Africans only need an equality and the Sudanese need a triumph to postpone the qualification of the opponent.<\/p>\n
