Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Various goods such as expendable material, beds, screens, sheets, wheelchairs, crutches and walkers were delivered on Saturday to the Ana Paula health center, in Viana, at the end of the rehabilitation works of that unit, carried out by the Lwini Foundation.<\/b><\/p>\n

The action falls within the scope of its social responsibility, in support of the institution’s 25th anniversary and the anniversary of its patron, which aims to support the most needy in the country.<\/p>\n

According to the executive director of the Lwini Fund, Alfredo Ferreira, the rehabilitation works and the delivery of goods are valued at 35 million kwanzas, adding that, annually, more than 20 thousand people are assisted in the health sector across the country.<\/p>\n

He said that from January to the present date they visited ten provinces, where they assisted close to ten thousand people, with means of compensation, including wheelchairs, crutches and walkers.<\/p>\n

For his part, the municipal administrator of Viana, Deme\u0301trio de Sepu\u0301lveda, thanked the support of the Lwini Fund, which is a partner in the rehabilitation of the center.<\/p>\n

The Ana Paula health center serves a daily average of 400 users, where malaria and diarrheal and acute respiratory diseases are the most frequent pathologies.<\/p>\n

Lwini Fund, created on June 30, 1998, is a social solidarity institution whose social purpose is to raise funds and carry out actions to support civilian victims of landmines.<\/p>\n
