Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Consulate General of Angola in Lisbon has been carrying out, over the last two weeks, several activities with the Angolan community residing in the southern region of Portugal, with the aim of bringing services to those who need them.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to a note sent, the consul general in Lisbon, ambassador Vice\u0302ncia de Brito, has promoted several proximity actions, taking advantage of the opportunities to also maintain contacts with the local Portuguese authorities, in order to try find participative solutions to community problems, especially those of social inclusion.<\/p>\n

Among the services provided to the Angolan community are the issuance of a consular card, collection of data to issue an identity card, criminal record, passport and birth transcript. In all these acts, community participation has been notable.<\/p>\n

During her trip to Castelo Branco, where, on the occasion, the Association of Angolans was proclaimed in that city, the consul general was received by the president of the local Chamber, Leopoldo Rodrigues.<\/p>\n

On Madeira Island, where itinerant consular events also took place, Vice\u0302ncia de Brito held meetings with the mayor of Funchal, Cristina Pedra, and with the regional director of Communities and External Cooperation of Madeira, Rui Abreu.<\/p>\n

In both regions, the diplomat also held meetings with the resident Angolan community, from whom she listened to their concerns and conveyed a word of reassurance and willingness to help resolve some of these difficulties.<\/p>\n

Given the success of these initiatives, it is the intention of the Consulate General of Angola in Lisbon to intensify them, in order to enable the community residing in its areas of action to have easier access to its services and, thus, be able to resolve issues more quickly. your problems regarding documents.<\/p>\n
