Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The first national secretary of JMPLA, Crispiano dos Santos, urged, in Luanda, the youth to remain more vigilant and attentive to the alleged \u201cuntruths that are said about the current state of the country, spread by pseudo-influencers\u201d.<\/b><\/p>\n

Crispiano dos Santos, who spoke, Wednesday, in his opening speech of the commemorative day of the 23rd of November, under the motto “JMPLA \u2013 Love the Country and Make Angola Grow More, on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the founding of JMPLA, said that the moment of vigilance serves to convey to youth what the attitude should be, in ways that do not spread false information on social media.<\/p>\n

The youth leader reiterated that pseudo-influencers \u201care nothing more than a circle of non-patriots who hide behind the Internet to undermine peace, national unity and the development of Angola\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must remain vigilant and focus on concrete, real-life actions that contribute to our growth, the growth of our families and communities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

According to Crispiano dos Santos, the 23rd of November celebrations take place in a context of multiple and profound challenges, especially in the social and economic sectors, which require youth – and in particular JMPLA activists – greater sharpness, courage and determination, in order to satisfy the aspirations of youth.<\/p>\n

The leader advised young people to invest in training, entrepreneurship, patriotism and volunteering as a way of life. “We must stop simulating behaviors and usurping the skills of others to achieve certain positions”, advised the JMPLA leader, for whom functions must be assumed through meritocracy, with a high standard of competence and a lot of responsibility.<\/p>\n

With the spirit of vigor that is based on youth, he also urged that this fringe of society strengthen the patriotic spirit that lives within young people, so that the Nation can be strengthened.<\/p>\n

Day program<\/p>\n

During the 61st anniversary of JMPLA, dedicated to the promotion of peace, exaltation of patriotism and support for the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, multidisciplinary activities will be held such as colloquiums with themes of national relevance, namely “The state of socio-political development and economic development of the country\u201d, “The role of youth in safeguarding peace\u201d and the \u201cExaltation of patriotism\u201d, as they are fundamental values \u200b\u200bthat build an increasingly free, developed and democratic State.<\/p>\n

JMPLA was founded and conceived by the MPLA as its mass youth organization on November 23, 1962, in Leopoldville, now Kinshasa, on the threshold of the National Liberation War. Its patron is the heroic commander Hoji Ya Henda, who fell in an assault on the barracks of the Portuguese colonial army in Caripande, Eastern Angola.<\/p>\n
